The Human Rights Tulip is an annual award funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to honor and support outstanding human rights defenders. RNW Media is supporting the positioning, visibility, and digital campaign strategy for this prestigious award. To ensure our outreach resonates deeply within the Dutch public, political, and media landscape, we are seeking a dedicated Dutch-speaking intern to support our Positioning Visibility team. RNW Media has been appointed to coordinate and implement the Human Rights Tulip Programmed 2026–2027 in partnership with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
The programmed aims to recognize, amplify, and support human rights defenders (HRDs) through the Central Tulip Award and decentralised Embassy Tulip Awards which provide HRDs with increased visibility, recognition, networking opportunities, and support. A key objective of the programmed is to engage Dutch audiences, particularly young people, on priority human rights issues and to contribute to broader international solidarity for human rights.
The primary objective of this internship is to support the execution of the Human Rights Tulip visibility campaign. The intern will ensure that all campaign assets, messaging, and communication strategies are accurately localised, culturally relevant, and linguistically precise for Dutch audiences, stakeholders, and media channels.
